MAARIV & MEGILLAH @7:30 PM
Two services will take place Thursday evening, both with Ma’ariv and a full kosher Megillah Reading at Friends Meeting of Washington at 7:30 PM.
Main Service (Meeting Room, UPSTAIRS): The service you know and love.
Parent-Friendly Service (Assembly Room, DOWNSTAIRS): A slightly quicker reading designed for parents to be able to fulfill their obligatgions to hear the megillah while parenting. Megillah readers will ensure every word is heard even over ambient noise from children and their parents
PURIM SHPIEL & BREAK-FAST @around 8:30PM
Following the conclusion of both services, join us for *light* falafel dinner and hamentaschen while we enjoy the much-anticipated DC Minyan Purim Shpiel, suitable for all ages.
PURIM BAR-NIGHT
Following the Shpiel, those of bar-attending age will walk four blocks to Mission DuPont, which DC Minyan has reserved until midnight. Costumes are highly encouraged! (Note: this is not an open bar)
PURIM MORNING - 3/14 @ 7:30 AM
The festivities continue Friday morning at the Friends Meeting of Washington with Shacharit at 7:30 AM and Megillah reading at 8:05 AM. A Bagel Brunch/Seudah, immediately following Megillah reading, around 8:45 AM, caps off our holiday programming.
DC Minyan is grateful to be able to offer a full slate of Purim activities free of charge to the entire community. All food is generously sponsored by Belle Davis in memory of her husband Marty, Moshe Avraham ben Zalman Baruch HaLevi z"l.
